Spring fishing on the charter boat LADY EM in Destin, Fl

There are a couple of things that we know for certain will happen every spring here in the Worlds luckiest fishing village. We know that the north winds will give way to a warm southeast wind as winter loses its grip on Destin. The southeast push will usher in Spanish mackerel and the much celebrated cobia migration.

We know that big amberjacks will show up on the offshore wrecks and the first wahoo and king mackerel will be caught.

Folks wanting to fish in the months of March and April have several options available to them ranging from inshore fishing near the Jetties and Destin’s East Pass for sheepheads and Spanish mackerel to hunting big cobia as they migrate past Destin beaches headed west.

On the LADY EM will be will head offshore for some reef fishing for species like amberjack, scamp grouper and vermillion snappers. Reef fishing (or bottom fishing) can be done on ½ day trips just a few miles offshore to all day trips targeting larger fish. We will also get in on some good spring time Tuna and swordfish action on our longer 2 and 3 day trips.

The boat is race ready and the crew is excited to be back to work on the gulf.
